Hi There 👋 I'm Seyhan,

I'm a UX/UI designer based in London, with more than 10 years of experience delivering end-to-end design solutions for clients. Touching the lives of others through design and making their experiences better and easier is my greatest passion. I am eager to learn new things and constantly improve new skills.

FINDING THE BEST WAY

FINDING THE BEST WAY

When I start a new project, feel like a thrilled child in a maze. I love the whole process of finding the best way of solution, but it's not always easy. You need to follow UX design principles to not be lost. Also experience, observation and talent lead you to the targeted point. Every project has specific needs and processes relative to these requirements.

Here is the process that I follow mostly...

Understanding the User

Once I have got the project’s goal and scope, I always define the problem from a user’s perspective by User Personas, Journey Maps and Empathy Maps. It allows me to understand user needs and start the design process.

UX Research

Finding the possible best solutions always rely on good research. I start the ideation phase with a clear understanding of the users, market, and competitive landscape.

Ideation

I start with hand-drawn sketches to iterate on many ideas fast. Then I move the wireframes from low to high fidelity. This step so beneficial to visualize the product. Also makes easier to show and get feedbacks from team and engineers.

Prototype & Usability

The primary purpose of high-fidelity prototypes is usability testing. So I can validate ideas, identify usability issues and test accessibility. These tests include internal testing with team members or sharing ideas and prototypes with stakeholders for feedback.

UX Audit

After hand off the project

to the development, still collaborate on designs to meet technical constraints. UX audit is the final stage,

that allows the team to review whether the new release meets the goals, user experience and accessibility requirements.

ABOUT ME

I have had a great passion for creativity and design since childhood. To build on my interests, I studied Design Technologies in high school and later, I expanded my knowledge by studying Design and Printing Technologies at Istanbul University.

I gained experience designing vast various kinds of products for different types of advertising agencies. I have worked one-on-one with design teams, marketing executives, and client stakeholders from creating concepts to productions.

I love the idea of putting the user at the heart of the design process.  My love of all things creative-analytical thinking and my interest in psychology make the UX field so engaging for me. I am constantly improving myself in order to keep my skills up to date. Joining UX/UI design professional certificate programs and boot camps allowed me to gain knowledge in every aspect of UX.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATES

UI/UX Design for Games

Teesside University
Sep 22 – Jan, 23

During my six-month boot camp program at Teesside University, I had the opportunity to learn and experience the fundamentals of UX and UI principles, both theoretically and practically. The training was a joint program with Double Eleven, one of the best British video game developers and publishers. The most beneficial part of the program was receiving lessons from university teachers and experienced UX designers from Double Eleven. This gave me a unique opportunity to gain updated and in-depth knowledge of the sector.

Google UX Design Professional Certificate Program

Coursera
Feb – Aug 22

This program was created by Google and prepared in amazing detail by the sector's best professionals. They prioritized putting the user at the heart of the design process and took the time to understand user behaviors and pain points to find better solutions. The program covered a range of skills, from identifying user needs to conducting research and interviews, information architecture to interaction design, visual design, and prototyping. I found this program to be an excellent opportunity to learn and practice these skills.

Web Development, Digital Bootcamp

Gateshead College
Jan – Mar 22

In this intensive boot camp, I have focused on the fundamentals of web design and development. Gained hands-on experience in HTML5 and CSS, including responsive design and best practices.

Developed several projects that demonstrated proficiency in creating user-friendly, visually appealing websites.

Design and Printing Technologies

Istanbul University 2005

University helped me to understand the whole design and printing process professionally. I have gained the ability to finish design projects from sketch to print professionally. I have learned the most preferred design programs and printing techniques more deeply. The packaging design, colors in printing, and web design lessons that I had, helped me
a lot in my professional life. I did my internship in my last year at an agency that publishes a business magazine and local newspaper. Because of the attention I gave to details and my enthusiasm for development,
I got a job offer from my internship institution and continued to work
in the same agency for one more year after university.

Design & Technology

Sabiha Gokcen High School 2001

I have learned the fundamentals and history of art, drawing, and illustration techniques. My workshop lessons helped me to experience traditional art techniques and improve my typography, composition, and printing techniques knowledge. I also learned digital graphic design programs during my high school period.

In my last year, a one-year internship in a large packaging factory helped me to consolidate first time what I learned at school in my professional life.
